Hero of the day...Sade Adu

It was the children in my compound that welcomed me as I came in from work with the news that there was no light in our compound.I paid less attention, telling myself it was a usual happening. But the other child's voice was more detailed.''Broda light dey other compound.''Not minding my discontempt I had for her at that moment as she quickly corrected herself''Brother light is in the other compound.''Onyin reinterated, correctly, chuckling.(she knew i detested their speaking pidgin English in the compound).I whirled my head slowly around only to notice the shiny bulbs that glared nakedly at me,shiny.Down-hearted I went inside.Hesitating the children who had by now slowly given way for me resumed their sand play as night fall gradually threatened to put a halt to their game.Halfly tired I slumped on my cushion, made for my phone and started operationg the handset erratically. It was Sade Adu's Song,'King of Sorrow',that caught my attention. So I played it.Determined to meditate with my subconscious,as the present black out in the house irked me......Something about the song that blurred across my ear seemed wrong. It was the words.I knew I had to settle to listen to the lyrics properly, even though the music spelt good tune.I knew I had settled for a bigger problem because the song was an engima.Sade is artistic. You two tablets of Panadol extra to listen to her song, else curiousity at being in the know of her lyrics will put you in an obscurating state. So I drifted into sleep.
People have often said R n B star singer,Sade Adu's song is only for the matured minds. But the reeling truth is this, why is are her songs always an engima?tveAngels is set to unveil her world of music which displays strong artistic lyrics spelling sordid meanings to the minds of our subconscious.Only on tveAngels.23:00 GMT today.
